Promenade is a non -profit organization and in years with high enrollment, we have excess funds to share with others in our community.
We like to support Mecklenburg County charities that serve the same age groups that we serve, and will give an unexpected grant that they can use for extra support.
- In 2011, we donated $20,000 to The Relatives to help fund the creation of their On Ramp resource center for troubled teens.
- In 2016, we gave $20,000 to The Relatives and they purchased a van that they use to pick up runaway and at-risk teens to provide safe shelter.
- In 2019, we gave $10,000 to Freedom School Partners to purchase more books and tablets to give their Student Leader Interns.
Classes
In 2023, Promenade has enjoyed offering classes and seminars to some school groups.
We did a seminar at Bradford Preparatory School for the senior class. Linda Booth gave them tips and skills to take them on to their next steps in life.
We did a workshop for the seventh and eighth grade students at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic School to get them ready for a class trip to Washington DC and their next steps in life.
We love to work with community partners! For further information, contact us.
